Use XBT (Bitcoin BLAKE2b) in FxWallet

XBT is the coin of Bitcoin BLAKE2b, a network that forked from bitcoin at block 961,640 on 30 August 2026 and is mined with BLAKE2b. In FxWallet, you can receive, hold and send XBT in a wallet created or imported with a mnemonic phrase.

Before you start

Get your XBT address

  1. On the Wallet tab, tap Receive.
  2. Search for XBT, and pick it on the Bitcoin BLAKE2b network.
  3. Copy the address, or let the sender scan the QR code.

Your XBT address starts with 1. Each wallet has one, in its first account: other accounts don't have XBT. It's also the bitcoin address of the wallet's first account, so the network the sender chooses decides which coin arrives.

Receive mining rewards

Enter your XBT address as the payout address in your mining pool or mining software.

A reward paid straight from a block, called a coinbase reward, can't be sent until enough newer blocks follow that block. You get rewards like this when you mine solo, or when your pool pays you in the block itself. Payouts that a pool sends you in an ordinary transaction can be sent once they confirm.

Until then, the reward counts in your XBT balance, but FxWallet leaves it out of what you can send. If a send says Insufficient Balance although your balance looks high enough, send a smaller amount, or wait and try again later.

Send or sell XBT

FxWallet can't swap XBT. To sell it, send it to an exchange that lists XBT on the Bitcoin BLAKE2b network. Send it as you would any coin (see Send crypto), and check the network first:

danger

Some exchanges use XBT as another name for bitcoin, and XBT addresses look exactly like bitcoin addresses. Send XBT only to an address for the Bitcoin BLAKE2b network, never to a bitcoin deposit address, or it may not arrive.

  • Send a small amount first when you use an address for the first time, and wait for it to arrive.
  • FxWallet sends one XBT transaction at a time. Until the last one confirms, it shows You have a pending transaction and can't initiate a new transaction. See Pending or stuck transactions.

If you held bitcoin before the fork

Bitcoin that was at an address when XBT forked is also XBT at that same address. FxWallet shows XBT at one address only: the one in Get your XBT address. If your bitcoin was at another address, such as one starting with 3 or bc1, FxWallet can't show that XBT, even if you import the same mnemonic phrase.

danger

Never enter your mnemonic phrase or private key on a website or in a tool that offers to claim or check your XBT. Anyone who has them can take both your bitcoin and your XBT.

What FxWallet doesn't support for XBT

  • Importing a wallet with an XBT private key.
  • XBT in any account but a wallet's first.
  • XBT in hardware wallets.
  • Swap, Earn and staking.
