Not enough gas for a transaction

Every transaction pays a network fee, called gas, in the network's native coin: ETH on Ethereum, BNB on BNB Chain, POL on Polygon, SOL on Solana. Holding USDT or another token doesn't cover it. When you don't have enough, FxWallet tells you how much more you need, for example "You need 0.0012 ETH more on Ethereum to cover the network fee."

Fix it​

  • Add some of the native coin to the same wallet, on the same network. See Deposit or receive crypto.
  • Pay with a Gas Card, if you have one that covers the network. See Pay gas with a Gas Card.
  • Pay with a token. When you send crypto on some EVM networks, you can pay the fee with a supported token instead. This doesn't work for swaps, bridges or NFT transfers. See Pay gas with a token.

Keep enough for the next transaction​

Fees change with network activity, so keep a little more of the native coin than one fee. Gas fees and Gas Card explains why fees change and how to pay less.
