Network rules FAQ
Some networks set rules of their own: a balance every account must keep, a fee to activate an address, or a step before you can hold a token. FxWallet follows them, so a transfer that breaks one is stopped before you send it.
Why can't I send all my XRP?
The XRP Ledger locks part of every account's balance: 1 XRP, plus 0.2 XRP for each token the account holds. The coin's page shows it as locked, and you can't send it. A transfer that would dip into it shows Insufficient balance for reservation.
- Sending XRP to an address that holds none needs at least 1 XRP, or you see Insufficient balance in the target address after the transaction (less than 1 XRP).
- Sending a token needs the recipient to have set up that token (a trust line). If they haven't, you see The target address has insufficient token trust lines.
- The confirmation screen has a countdown. If it runs out, you see Transaction timed out. Please return to the previous page and resubmit the transaction.
- FxWallet can't add a destination tag. See Memo and destination tag.
Why do I need TRX to send USDT?
Every transaction on TRON pays its fee in TRX, including transfers of tokens such as USDT, which cost more than a TRX transfer. Keep some TRX in the account.
- When you send a token, you can turn on Energy rental for a lower fee, still paid in TRX. The rented energy will be automatically reclaimed after about 10 minutes.
- Sending to an address that has never been used costs more: This address is not activated. Activation requires a fee of 1 TRX.
Why do I have to register a token on Algorand or Aptos?
These networks need each account to register a token before it can hold it. When you add one, FxWallet shows Token not registered and asks you to Register, which is a transaction with a network fee. The recipient must have registered the token too, or the transfer can't go through.
Why can't I send all my ALGO?
An Algorand account must keep a minimum balance, which grows with each token it has registered. FxWallet shows the amount on the send screen and won't send below it. Sending ALGO to an account that holds none needs at least 0.1 ALGO.
Why does FxWallet keep some SOL, SUI or gram back?
- Solana: every account must keep a small amount of SOL, so FxWallet won't send it.
- Sui: FxWallet keeps a little SUI for the network fee.
- Toncoin: sending jettons or NFTs needs at least 0.1 gram in the account for the fees.
- NEAR and Alephium keep part of the balance too: NEAR the amount the network locks, and Alephium a little ALPH for each token you hold.
Why does Polkadot say my balance will be reset to zero?
On Asset Hub Polkadot, an account whose balance drops below the network's minimum is removed, and whatever is left in it is lost. FxWallet warns you when a transfer would leave your account below it, and reminds you that the same applies to the recipient. Change the amount so both stay above it.
Why must I keep some CKB after a transfer?
Nervos CKB needs every account to keep a minimum balance, and each transfer to be at least that amount. FxWallet shows the minimum when you send.
Why can't I send another transaction?
On Bitcoin and similar networks, and on some others such as Kaspa, Nervos CKB, Algorand and Aleo, FxWallet sends one transaction at a time. Until the last one confirms, it shows You have a pending transaction and can't initiate a new transaction. See Pending or stuck transactions.
Is XBT bitcoin?
No. In FxWallet, XBT is the coin of Bitcoin BLAKE2b, a separate network. Some exchanges and sites use XBT as another name for bitcoin, so check which one they mean.
XBT addresses use the same format as Bitcoin addresses, so FxWallet can't tell them apart. Send XBT only to someone who supports Bitcoin BLAKE2b, and never to a Bitcoin deposit address, or it may not arrive.
Only the first account of a wallet created or imported with a mnemonic phrase has XBT, and FxWallet can't import an XBT private key.
