Fake apps and phishing

Scammers copy FxWallet's name and icon to make fake apps and websites that steal mnemonic phrases, or trick you into approving transactions. Install FxWallet only from the App Store, Google Play or www.fxwallet.com, and don't open links or scan codes from people you don't know.

How fakes reach you

• Search ads: a fake site pays for an ad above the real result, with an address that looks almost the same.
• Text messages: a message says your wallet needs an update or a check, with a link to a fake app.
• Posters and posts: an offer of free tokens or lower fees if you scan a code to download the app.
• Chats and groups: someone posing as FxWallet support sends a link or a file.

Protect yourself

• Download FxWallet only from official sources, and check that it's genuine. See Download FxWallet and check it's genuine.
• Open FxWallet's website and channels only from Official FxWallet channels.
• The real FxWallet asks for your mnemonic phrase only when you choose to import a wallet. An app or site that asks for it to "verify", "sync" or "upgrade" your wallet is fake.
• If you entered your mnemonic phrase or private key in a fake app or site, act as if your wallet is compromised and move your assets at once.
