What is FxWallet?
FxWallet is a self-custody, multi-chain crypto wallet app for iOS and Android. You hold the keys to your wallet, so only you can move your assets. FxWallet doesn't hold your keys, and it can't restore your wallet for you.
What a crypto wallet does
A crypto wallet doesn't store coins. Your assets are recorded on each blockchain, and the wallet stores the keys that control them. FxWallet uses those keys to sign what you approve, for example when you send, swap or bridge crypto, or connect to a DApp.
Addresses, private keys and your mnemonic phrase
- Address: where you receive crypto. It is safe to share.
- Private key: controls one address. Never share it.
- Mnemonic phrase (also called a seed phrase or recovery phrase): the backup of your whole wallet. Never share it.

Anyone who has your mnemonic phrase or a private key can take your assets, and FxWallet can't get them back. FxWallet support will never ask for either.
