Why Did My Swap Fail?

Crypto swaps may fail for different reasons depending on network conditions, liquidity, or wallet balance.

Common Error Messages​

  • Insufficient gas
  • Swap failed
  • Route not found
  • Transaction reverted
  • Insufficient liquidity
  • RPC error
  • Pending for too long

Why Does My Swap Say "Insufficient Gas"?​

Every blockchain transaction requires gas fees paid in the native token. Examples:

  • ETH on Ethereum
  • BNB on BNB Chain
  • POL on Polygon
  • SOL on Solana

Even if you hold USDT or other tokens, swaps cannot proceed without gas tokens.

Solution: Keep a small amount of the native token in your wallet before swapping.

Why Did My USDT Swap Fail?​

Possible reasons include: insufficient gas, low liquidity, slippage settings, or network congestion.

Solutions:

  • Increase slippage tolerance
  • Retry later when network is less congested
  • Reduce swap amount
  • Ensure enough gas balance

Why Is My Swap Pending for Too Long?​

A pending swap means the transaction has been submitted but not yet confirmed by the blockchain. Common causes: network congestion, low gas fee, RPC delays.

Solution: Wait for confirmation and track the transaction using the TXID in a blockchain explorer.

Slippage Too Low​

Token prices may change during execution. If the market moves beyond the allowed slippage, the swap will fail. Increase the slippage tolerance and try again.

Liquidity Issues​

Some tokens have limited liquidity, especially newly launched or low-volume assets.

  • Reduce the swap amount
  • Try another trading pair
  • Retry later

Unsupported Token or Route​

Some tokens may not have available routing paths or supported liquidity providers. Try swapping through another token first, such as USDT, ETH, or BNB.
