Pending Transaction Guide
What Is a Pending Transaction?
A pending transaction is a blockchain transaction that has been broadcast to the network but not yet confirmed by miners or validators. During this time, the transaction is in a waiting queue (mempool).
Why Is My Transaction Still Pending?
Possible reasons:
- Network congestion — too many transactions competing for block space.
- Low gas fee — miners prioritize transactions with higher fees.
- Validator delays — some networks have variable block times.
- RPC instability — temporary node issues may delay status updates.
How Long Does Confirmation Take?
Typical confirmation times under normal network conditions:
- Ethereum: a few seconds to several minutes
- BNB Chain: usually within seconds
- Bitcoin: 10 to 60 minutes (1 block = ~10 minutes)
- Solana: usually within seconds
- Polygon / Arbitrum / Base: usually within seconds
How to Check Transaction Status
- Open transaction history in FxWallet.
- Select the pending transaction.
- Copy the transaction hash (TXID).
- Open a blockchain explorer and paste the TXID to check status.
Supported Blockchain Explorers
- Etherscan (Ethereum)
- BscScan (BNB Chain)
- Arbiscan (Arbitrum)
- Basescan (Base)
- Solscan (Solana)
- Polygonscan (Polygon)
What to Do If a Transaction Is Stuck
- Wait — most pending transactions confirm within a few hours.
- Speed up — if the option is available, increase the gas fee to prioritize your transaction.
- Contact support — if the transaction remains pending for an unusually long time, contact FxWallet support with your TXID.
