Why can't I deposit or redeem in Earn?

Most deposit problems come from holding the token on another network, or from an approval that hasn't confirmed yet. Most redemption problems come from part of a position that you didn't deposit through FxWallet. Check the causes below.

Earn says the balance is too low

A product takes the token on one network, shown as Network on the deposit page. Earn counts only your balance of the token on that network, so the same token on another network doesn't count, and you see Insufficient balance. Move the token to that network with a bridge, or choose a protocol on the network where you hold it.

  • Each product has a minimum deposit, and FxWallet shows it if your amount is lower.
  • The network fee is paid in that network's native coin. Without enough of it, FxWallet says you don't have enough for gas. When you deposit the native coin itself, Max keeps some back for the fee.

The deposit stopped after the approval

Many tokens need an approval before the deposit, so the confirmation starts with Approve (1/2). If the approval hasn't confirmed after about a minute, FxWallet stops there and nothing is deposited yet. Wait for the approval to confirm, then tap Continue on the deposit page again. If you tap it before the approval confirms, FxWallet shows Transaction Pending.

You can't redeem everything

A position shows everything you hold in the protocol, but Redeem covers only Your investment: the part you deposited through FxWallet. Withdraw the rest on the protocol's own website.

  • Positions under Other assets (manage via external DApps) are managed only on the protocol's website.
  • Each product has a minimum redemption, which applies to Redeem all too. A smaller amount can only be withdrawn on the protocol's website.

A deposit or redemption is missing

Open My Assets on the Earn tab, then tap the clock icon for Transaction History, and check its status. If it succeeded but your Earn balance still hasn't changed after a while, contact support with the transaction hash (TXID).
