Fake Tokens and Offline Trading Scams
Fake Tokens Scam
When fraudsters generate fake tokens with the same name as well-known tokens but different contract addresses and use them to commit fraud, this is referred to as a fake token scam. New users are the majority of the victims of these frauds, and the most popular phony tokens are USDT, ETH, BTC, etc.
FxWallet cautions users to check the contact address and other details repeatedly before transferring. The official information of the token shall prevail, and do not trust the third party easily。
Offline Trading Scam
Fraudster claim that they will charge more for Cryptocurrency than is reasonable, and allow the user to transfer the token straight to him after gaining the user’s trust. The fraudster vanishes after collecting the asset, and the user can’t get in touch with him again because there is no third-party assurance.
FxWallet warning: Please not conduct offline transactions with strangers without guarantees, especially those who claim to pay you at a high price. Don’t trust strangers, and do not easily scan an unknown QR Code.
