To move crypto from an exchange to FxWallet, copy your address from **Receive** in FxWallet, then withdraw to it on the same network. The network is the step people get wrong: crypto sent on a network you didn't pick may not arrive.

## Before you start

- **Get some of the native coin too,** such as BNB on BNB Chain or TRX on Tron. Every transaction pays its fee in it, so without it you can't send or swap your USDT. See [Not enough gas for a transaction](https://docs.fxwallet.com/wallet/not-enough-gas).
- **Planning to swap?** **Swap** doesn't support every network, Tron included. Withdraw on BNB Chain or Ethereum instead.
- **Minimums.** Your test amount must be at least the exchange's minimum withdrawal. Some networks also need a minimum balance, such as 1 XRP for a new address. See [Network rules FAQ](https://docs.fxwallet.com/wallet/network-rules).
- **Private wallet.** If the exchange asks whether the address belongs to an exchange or a private wallet, choose private wallet (or self-custody): FxWallet is one. It may also ask you to confirm with a code, or to save the address first.

## Withdraw to FxWallet

1. In FxWallet, on the **Wallet** tab, tap **Receive**, search for the coin, and pick it on a network the exchange offers. Copy the address.
2. On the exchange, start a withdrawal of the same coin and paste the address. Check that it matches the address in FxWallet: malware can change a copied address.
3. Choose the network that matches the one you picked in FxWallet. See [Match the network](https://docs.fxwallet.com/wallet/withdraw-from-an-exchange#match-the-network).

   :::danger

Pick the network by its name. EVM networks such as Ethereum, BNB Chain and Arbitrum share one address, so the exchange accepts it on any of them without a warning.

   :::

4. If the form has a memo or tag field, leave it empty: FxWallet doesn't need one.
5. Withdraw a small amount first. When it shows up in FxWallet, withdraw the rest.

## Match the network

The names below are what Binance, OKX and Bybit show. FxWallet calls BNB Chain **BNB**.

### Binance

| In FxWallet | On Binance |
| --- | --- |
| USDT or BNB on BNB (BNB Chain) | BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) |
| USDT or ETH on Ethereum | Ethereum (ERC20) |
| USDT on Tron | Tron (TRC20) |
| ETH on Arbitrum | Arbitrum One |
| ETH on Base | Base |
| BTC on Bitcoin | Bitcoin |

### OKX

| In FxWallet | On OKX |
| --- | --- |
| USDT on BNB (BNB Chain) | Not offered: withdraw BNB, then swap some for USDT in FxWallet |
| BNB on BNB (BNB Chain) | BNB Smart Chain |
| USDT or ETH on Ethereum | Ethereum (ERC20) |
| USDT on Tron | Tron (TRC20) |
| ETH on Arbitrum | Arbitrum One |
| ETH on Base | Base |
| BTC on Bitcoin | Bitcoin |

### Bybit

| In FxWallet | On Bybit |
| --- | --- |
| USDT or BNB on BNB (BNB Chain) | BSC (BEP20) |
| USDT or ETH on Ethereum | Ethereum (ERC20) |
| USDT on Tron | TRON (TRC20) |
| ETH on Arbitrum | Arbitrum One |
| ETH on Base | Base Mainnet |
| BTC on Bitcoin | BTC |

### Other choices

- **opBNB isn't BNB Smart Chain.** Binance offers USDT and BNB on both, and opBNB uses the same address. Crypto withdrawn on opBNB arrives on opBNB, a separate network in FxWallet, not on BNB. See [It went to your own address on another EVM network](https://docs.fxwallet.com/wallet/sent-on-the-wrong-network#it-went-to-your-own-address-on-another-evm-network).
- Exchanges also offer coins as tokens on other networks. BTC withdrawn on BNB Smart Chain, for example, arrives as a token on BNB Chain, not as bitcoin. FxWallet doesn't support the Lightning Network.
- Exchanges rename and remove networks. If a name isn't listed, look for the network's name, such as TRC20 or Tron, or pick another network in FxWallet.

## After you withdraw

How long it takes depends on the exchange and the network. The exchange may review the withdrawal before it sends it. Once it's sent, a transfer on BNB Chain, Ethereum or Tron usually shows up in FxWallet within a few minutes, and one on Bitcoin can take an hour or more. Your withdrawal history on the exchange shows the status and, once it's sent, the transaction hash (TXID).
